Our History

The Filipino Community of Seattle (FCS) FilSTAR Youth Program was established in 2005 with the assistance of the Filipino American Educators of Washington (FAEW).

FilSTAR began with start up funding from FCS and assistance from FAEW. After the initial start up years, we have decided to expand services and ask you to walk with us through the process of assuring our youth have academic and culturally relevant programs to support their success and growth.
